Daniel Duclos -C.A.T.C. I Program Director

Daniel-Duclos As a Program Director, Daniel Duclos is passionate about helping those battling addiction and mental health to find a happy, healthy, and more fulfilling life. With extensive experience working in the addiction treatment field, he’s been trained in a vast range of treatment modalities. His experience has allowed him to work with a wide variety of demographics. As a member of the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE) and a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC), Daniel has been trained in culturally competent service delivery and prides himself on his work with both adolescent and adult populations. In addition, Daniel is a trained interventionist and has helped facilitate hundreds of intensive family therapy group processes. Daniel wants to share with his clients a simple message that “life does not end when entering recovery, but yet recovery is just the beginning of a life worth living.”

Alisa Robinson – PhD Staff Psychologist

Alisa-Robinson Dr. Robinson is a licensed clinical psychologist with over fifteen years of experience treating individuals throughout the lifespan. She received her PhD from USC and studied Cognitive Science at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Robinson has trained doctoral and master’s level psychology students and is an adjunct professor at Argosy University. Dr. Robinson specializes in addiction and recovery issues, relationships, anxiety, family issues, brain &behavior, and celebrity psychology. She has extensive experience in neuropsychological testing and personality assessment. Dr. Robinson has given day-long training seminars on various topics, including psychological diagnosis and treatment and business psychology. Dr. Robinson works as a consultant in the field of Organizational Development. In this capacity she helps companies increase their organizational effectiveness, facilitates teambuilding, improves hiring processes and provides executive coaching.

Robert Crocker – BA Director of Operations

Robert-Crocker Robert Crocker is a living example of the transformation that recovery creates. Finding his true path in life through sobriety at the age of 21, he has become a well-known figure and role model in the Southern California recovery culture. Robert received an academic scholarship to Pepperdine where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Robert’s story of recovery and success, “Falling Is Never Failure,” was featured in the Currents Magazine. This article detailed his struggle to overcome addiction and his ability to create a sober and healthy way of living. Robert also was a convocation campus speaker for Pepperdine students and staff on the role of faith in his recovery. Robert is a charismatic and engaging man with strong business acumen. His leadership and business management skills are an invaluable part of SCRC.

Douglas Penny Director of Business Development

Douglas Penny brings with him years of experience in helping start-up companies thrive. As the Director of Business Development at SCRC he uses his business and marketing wisdom to make SCRC successful. He also brings a sense of integrity and leadership to the company that has a ripple effect throughout all levels of care. In addition, Douglas is an Arise trained interventionist and uses this asset on a local and national level. He has a passion for providing a high level of care to all individuals. His interest in helping men get sober is genuine and sets the stage for the outstanding care that is provided at SCRC.

Peter Scheid, M.D.

Peter-Scheid,-M.D Dr. Scheid is a board certified family physician and addiction medicine specialist. He obtained his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan followed by a residency in Family Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. He also completed a Fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, during which he trained at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA, Loma Linda’s Behavioral Medicine Center, and at the Kaiser Permanente Chemical Dependency Recovery Program in Fontana, California. He has worked as a family physician in academia as well as in a busy community clinic and has held medical directorships in a variety of settings. He believes that recovery is possible for every person struggling with chemical dependency, and that recovery encompasses much more than abstinence from mind-altering substances. In addition to providing medical detoxification and ongoing care for those in recovery, he is interested in the application of mindfulness meditation in preventing relapse and supporting ongoing recovery.

Dayna Krebs – CATC I Counselor

Dayna is a California native, received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Northridge, her Addictions Studies Degree from Pierce College, is a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor (C.A.T.C.-III) and a trained Interventionist. She has years of experience counseling and educating men and their families at The Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center in the San Fernando Valley. Her passion for recovery and interest in helping others who struggle with substance abuse and addictive behavior problems is attributed to her lifelong involvement with alcoholism and addiction in family members and her own recovery process. She is dedicated to helping others to obtain a healthier and more beautiful lifestyle.
